With the chilly days of winter spreading upon us, this month's flower is to remind us of bright, warmer days to come and perhaps an early Spring. The Hedgehog Cactus is found in the deserts of the Southwest US and into Mexico. Its brilliant flowers bloom in April and May adding splashes of colour to the desert landscape.
