The White Ibis is a permanent resident of Florida and along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. It is characterized by its beautiful white plumage, reddish bill, face and legs. It also has black wing tips that are visible in flight. Using its long, curved bil, it probes for food in marshes and ponds.
