January 2013 - Eurasian Wigeon | Eurasian Wigeon, Anas penelope The Eurasian Wigeon is a dabbling duck which visits the temperate west coast of North America in the winter. The male shown here has a generally grayish with a distinguishable white patch on the forewings. Its head is reddish with a buff crown and creamy forehead. The female is more brown in colour and had a cinnamon-buff head.
