July 2007 - Bald Eagle   Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus In honour of the July 4th celebrations for our American friends, we have chosen one of the most recognizable birds of prey, and symbol of the US - the Bald Eagle - as July's bird of the month. Once severely endangered, the Bald Eagle has made an amazing come-back. Large concentrations can now be found, especially in the Pacific Northwest during the autumn's salmon run.
