Hooker's Onion, Allium acuminatum
Hooker's Onion, Allium acuminatum
Found in a zone stretching for southwestern British Columbia and southeast across the mountainous zones of the United States, Hooker's Onion is a small perennial herb which grows to 30 cm/12 in tall. The flowers grow from a small bulb which tastes like an onion, however, due to the rarity of the plant in many areas, it's best left undisturbed.
