Mojave Aster, Xylorhiza tortifolia
The Mojave Aster is a colourful springtime flower of the dry areas of the southwestern United States which includes parts of California, Nevada, Arizona and southern Utah. The flower head can have up to 60 rays which range in colour from light blue to lavender to white and have a vivid yellow centre.
