Pacific Spiketail, Cordulegaster dorsalis

The Pacific Spiketail is a large, beautiful dragonfly found in parts of western North America. It has a black body with yellow stripes and spots and a yellow face with large blue eyes. This impressive insect is an agile flyer and feeds on other flying insects and dragonflies.
