Water Strider, Limnoporus notabilis

Water Striders are insects that are unsinkable and have the ability to walk across water. Their front two legs are short to allow them to capture prey. The other four legs are extremely long and allow the insect to rest or move over water. Water Striders have numerous other common names including Water Scooters, Pond Skaters, Water Skimmers, Water Skippers, Magic Bugs and even Jesus Bugs.
