Western Conifer Seed Bug, Leptoglossus occidentalis
As you might imagine, the Western Conifer Seed Bug feeds on the sap of developing conifer cones. It sucks on the pine sap with its proboscis, a special organ used for sucking and feeding. Because of this, it is considered to be somehwat of a pest to conifer trees.
