Winter Midge, Cramptonomyia spenceri

The Winter Midge is a member of the Pachyneuridae family of insects. They are characterized by their long legs, long wings, slender bodies. They also have a small round head and long antennae. Cramptonomyia spenceri is a resident of the wet coastal forests from Oregon to southern British Columbia.
