All you'll need for this feeder are two pieces of 1" x 6" cedar and a small dowel. Cut one pieces of cedar 7" long for the upright. Cut the other one 12" long. That will be the base. If you'd like to improve the appearance, cut off the corners of the base. |

Cut angles in the top of the upright piece. Drill a hole for the dowel about 3 inches from the top. |
|
Attach the base to the upright piece using 2-inch nails or screws. |

|
Push the dowel through the hole. Using twist ties, attach bunches of berries. These berries were collected from a Mountain Ash tree in the autumn and stored in the freezer. |

To create a hanger, use a curtain or shower hook. A small screw eye is screwed into the top, and then the hook is attached. You can then hang the feeder from a branch or a hook on your feeding station. |
