Savannah Sparrow, Passerculus sandwichensis
The Savannah Sparrow is a medium-sized New World sparrow. It has a short, notched tail, a rather plump body with a relatively small head. Its plumage is brown above and white below with lots of streaks. One tell-tale identification sign is the yellow patch on the face, just in front of the eye.
