Pine Siskin, Carduelis pinus
The Pine Siskin is a member of the Fringillidae (finch) family of birds. It is a delightful visitor to feeding stations and enjoys all sorts of seeds. It is characterized by the yellow feathers on its wings and tail, pointed beak, and white underparts. It's a small bird, only 5 in/13 cm long with a wingspan of 9 in/23 cm, but real pleasure to watch when it drops by.
