Saffron Finch, Sicalis flaveola
The colourful and very attractive Saffron Finch is from South America, but this one was spotted in Hawaii where it, like many other birds, has been introduced. Despite its name, it's not a finch, but a tanager - a group of New World birds which are generally larger and have different shape bills and diets than finches.
