Great Burnet, Sanguisorba officinalis
Great Burnet, Sanguisorba officinalis
Great Burnet is a perennial herb member of the rose family. A fascinating feature of this plant is that the flower doesn't have any petals. What you see in the picture is the plant's purplish/maroon sepals. It likes wetlands or damp meadows.
