Alpine Marsh Marigold, Caltha leptosepala
Alpine or Mountain Marsh Marigold is a member of the Buttercup family of plants. It thrives in damp areas such as river banks, seeps and marshes in alpine and subalpine regions. A large single flower grows at the end of the stem. There are no true petals, but 5-12 whitish or yellowish petal-like sepals in the centre.
