Blueweed was introducedto North American from its native Europe and is spreading its range. It prefers roadside and disturbed areas. Blueweed, also called Viper's Bugloss or Blue Devil, has rough leaves giving it a hairy appearance. Its bright-blue flowers are spectacular especially with its red stamens. The flowers grow on a main stalk that can measure over 3 ft/1 m tall.
