|
Subalpine Daisy, Erigeron peregrinus
Subalpine Daisy, Erigeron peregrinus
The Subalpine Daisy has several other common names: Wandering Daisy; Subalpine Fleabane and Tall Purple Fleabane which makes using its scientific name, Erigeron peregrinus, very useful. It grows in mountain meadows from California to Alaska and can reach heights of over 2 ft/60 cm. The colourful flowers have 30-80 rose or purple ray florets which surround a yellow centre of disk florets.
